Luther King Adinkrah (Kwame Adinkrah)

Luther King Adinkrah (Kwame Adinkrah), is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist with decades of industrial and professional experience, Graphic Designer, Singer, Master of Ceremonies, Public speaker and a philanthropist.
He is the Chief Operating Officer of Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN), Business Manager of Pure 95.7FM and Morning Show Host of Pure Morning Drive.

Adinkrah is a native of Jaman in the Bono region. He hails from Kwameseikrom in the Jaman South Municipality. He was born to the late Mr. Stephen Yeboah Afrari, an educationist who was the son of the first queen mother of Kwameseikrom, Nana Mary Nyarko I. His mother, Mrs. Lucy Kuma Yeboah is also from the Badufie family of Kwameseikrom with long history of wealth.

Kwame started his education at RC Primary School in Kwameseikrom and later moved to Central International School in Kumasi, Ashanti Region where he completed his basic level education. He was enrolled in Opoku Ware School for his O’Level Certificate and secured his Advanced Level Certificate at Dormaa Secondary School in Dormaa Ahenkro. He gained admission to the University of Science and Technology now Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and successfully completed with BA Hons. Graphic Design.

He has obtained his Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Communication Design and now a PhD student at the same University. While at the University for his first degree, he was the studio manager of Continental radio, a campus-based radio station at Unity Hall, KNUST. A position he held for 3 years before getting his first job at OTEC FM. He brought creativity and innovation into radio by introducing a flagship programme at OTEC called ‘Kanawu’, highly interactive radio programme with impactful listener participation. The radio story of Kwame from OTEC, Kapital, Fox, Angel, Atinka, Abusua to Pure FM is nothing short of creativity, innovation and success.

For several years Kwame has made a remarkable impact in the media industry and mentored many journalists and politicians. He is seen as a role model for many young and practicing journalists in the country. In line of his duties, he has interviewed all the Presidents of Ghana in the 4th Republic, many foreign diplomats and ministers of state. He is the first major broadcaster to interview an incumbent president of Ghana (President John Dramani Mahama in 2015).

He is practically the permanent Master of Ceremony (MC) of the King of Ashanti, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. He has hosted many national events including National Farmers Day, the official launch of NABCO, National Economic Dialogue, the 14-day Final Funeral Rites of the late Queen mother of Ashanti, Nana Afua Kobi Serwaa Ampem, and other corporate events and functions.

He has featured as a prominent judge of reality shows on TV such as TV3 Mentor, Ghana’s Most Beautiful and Coca Cola Hit Single. He was the chairperson of the Entertainment Committee of the Kumasi Venue Organizing Committee of CAN 2008.

Kwame is the founder of Adinkra Heritage Foundation, set up to train young kids who are talented in music and arts. He is the Director General of HARKnida Ghana, a media consultant and advertising firm. He is an honorary member and advocate of Breast Care International, a non-governmental organization, creating awareness on Breast Cancer and organizing free screening. He has organized Live Concert shows for Freddy Meiway, Deza XXL, Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi, Amakye Dede, Kwabena Kwabena among many other artists in Ghana. His personality appeal cuts across gender and age. Kwame has won virtually every radio award in the country including the prestigious RTP Best Morning Show Host and the Favourite Radio Personality in Ghana. As a singer, he has 3 albums in his discography and winner of the VGMA Record of the Year 2012 with hit tract Abena Dansoa featuring Kwabena Kwabena.

Adinkrah has produced many designs for many organizations including Planned Parenthood of Ghana (PPAG), Otec FM, Angel FM, ABN, Macmillan publications, NCCE, The Chronicle and Pioneer newspapers. Kwame believes in life and very passionate about perfecting the wellbeing of society. He is an advocate of liberty, justice and good governance.
